Mozilla is secretly developing a communication device similar content Chromecast, running Firefox OS

GigaOM recently reported that Mozilla is secretly joined hands with partners to develop a communication device compact wireless content similar to Google Chromecast. The photo you see above is a prototype of Mozilla by posting staff. It comes pre-installed Firefox OS operating system and can run at least a few applications which are designed to Chromecast (eg Play Music, YouTube, Plex). The ability to transfer content from a mobile device or a user's computer to the TV, of course, be supported, and instead use the Chrome browser as Mozilla Chromecast will require customers spend Firefox on smartphone / tablet / PC them.

It is unclear who is working with Mozilla and the official name of the company products are also being considered, but at the moment it codenamed "Netcast". GigaOM says that Mozilla hopes to make their products different from competitors with open and easy to hack, and even to open bootloader. This platform will likely not pose any restrictions on the type of content that programmers can develop.
